Guided Tours in the Botanical Garden Munich

Starting in summer 2023, scientists offer guided tours on plant-microbe interactions at the Munich Botanical Garden.

(EN: The immune system of plants - how they protect themselves from pathogens and diseases)

Plants are not only exposed to large adversaries such as humans or animals, but also have to contend with a variety of tiny organisms. Dr. Dagmar Hann, scientist of the Transregio 356 PlantMicrobe at LMU, gives insights into how the immune system of plants works to successfully defend itself against pathogens like fungi or bacteria.

No prior scientific knowledge is required. The tour is in German.
